This kit is independently developed by OXG MOTOR and is the first aftermarket product on the market to offer an electric start function for 65cc/85cc youth motocross bikes.

Our R&D engineers and team leader are passionate motocross enthusiasts who truly understand the needs and priorities of off-road riders. This product provides essential assistance for children, women, and beginners, helping them take the first step in off-road riding: starting the engine. In competitive events, it can save a significant amount of energy and time following a mistake, enabling riders to get back into the points standings quickly.

This series covers the KTM, Yamaha, and Kawasaki 65cc/85cc platforms, as well as their derivative models (100cc/112cc), with plans to develop additional electric start kits for other off-road bikes that lack this feature.

We offer a complete working system with a non-destructive, reversible installation method, meaning no additional parts are required and no modifications are necessary to the bike.

·Battery and Charging System 

 The kit includes a high-density lithium battery and a fully integrated charging system, eliminating the need for separate charging. The included 2.5 AH lithium battery can support over 100 starts. With an average engine speed of 5000 RPM (suitable for beginner riders), riding continuously for 6 minutes can charge the battery with enough power for approximately 4-6 starts.

·Custom Ultra-Compact, High-Density Lithium Battery

The 350 gram battery provides 2.5 AH of power and is equipped with a Battery Management System (BMS) to ensure safe operation. The BMS automatically protects the battery in the event of prolonged storage or excessive discharge, preventing permanent damage. This significantly extends the battery’s lifespan. Unlike other similar batteries of this size, ours is equipped with BMS for added safety.

·Quick-Charging Accessory

A waterproof quick-charging accessory as a extra kit. (In kits without a charging system, it is included as standard, no additional purchase required.)This system allows you to start charging in just 10 seconds without removing any components from the bike. Using the included charger, it only take one hour to fully charge the battery when it enters a low-power protection state.

·Dry Start System

Unlike other products, this system uses a dry start method, meaning no additional oil is required. This design reduces the overall weight of the system, making it the lightest available on the market, loading weighing less than 3kg—about half the weight of comparable products from other brands. Weight is a critical factor for youth motocross bikes, and we have given special attention to this aspect.

·Start While in Gear

Once the engine is fully warmed up, the bike can be started while in gear. The rider can simply pull the clutch lever and restart the engine immediately after stalling, minimizing downtime and enabling a quick recovery.

·Compact and Durable Start Gear

The newly designed ultra-compact starting gear minimizes the increase in bike width, ensuring no disruption to rider handling. The gears are made from 40CrMo alloy steel and undergo high-strength heat treatment, ensuring a long service life.

·Maintenance-Friendly Design

On some bike models, the battery box may obstruct access to the air filter for maintenance. To solve this, we have designed a quick-release structure that allows you to remove or replace the battery box in just 5 seconds, without affecting maintenance efficiency.

·Durability in Harsh Environments

The entire system is built with waterproof, fire-resistant, and abrasion-resistant wiring, designed to withstand the harsh off-road conditions and high-pressure water jet cleaning.

·Optimized Weight Distribution

The system is engineered to ensure that it does not negatively affect the bike’s weight distribution or overall balance.

·Independent Operation

This system operates independently from the bike’s original system. Even if the electric start system were to fail, the bike’s core functionality would not be compromised, ensuring that the bike remains race-ready in emergency situations.

·Exclusive Patented Charging System

Our proprietary charging system minimizes power loss. Traditional charging systems with iron-core coils generate magnetic resistance, reducing engine power. Our iron-free charging design, paired with a custom rectifier, ensures that when the battery is fully charged, the coil load is disconnected, eliminating magnetic resistance and minimizing power loss. This system is particularly important for 85cc racing, where power is crucial.Dynamometer testing has proven that our patented charging system does not affect power output at all under any operating conditions.

·Increased Flywheel Weight

The flywheel weight has been increased by approximately 150g to optimize the balance between RPM and torque. This improvement enhances low-end torque while having almost no impact on RPM responsiveness.

·Future Development Plans

In the future, we plan to introduce the OXG MOTOR QFS (Quick Flywheel Weight System), which will allow for fast adjustments to flywheel inertia. This system will be fully compatible with the current electric start kit, enabling 3 different flywheel weight settings. Riders will be able to adjust the flywheel weight for various racing conditions without needing to purchase additional flywheel weight, thus optimizing their budget and performance. Additionally, we will provide four power curve charts (Factory/Electric Start/Level 1/Level 2) for each model, allowing riders to select the most suitable flywheel weight for their needs.
